(Toronto, January 10, 2025) The Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) has issued the following statement by Stephen Frank, President and CEO in response to the federal Health Minister’s January 10, Canada Health Act interpretation letter.

“The Minister’s interpretation letter does nothing to help address the primary care crisis across the country”, stated Stephen Frank. “We look forward to working with provincial and territorial governments and the federal government after the next election to protect access to employer-funded virtual care for ten million Canadians.”
