CLHIA's submission supports the draft Guidance document and recommendations made by RCDSO, while emphasizing the importance of transparency to patients and insurers when AI tools have been used. The industry provided additional recommendations for RCDSO's consideration such as requirements for validation of diagnoses made by AI tools, and ongoing education and training for dental professionals who use these tools.
